Assistant Engineer/Lead Technician

Victor Pacek

Victor Pacek started tinkering with tubes and transistors parallel to making music while he was in grade school, not as a determined vocation, but out of curiosity and a desire to understand audio circuitry. Many tinkering years later, out of college, and into various analog recording studios he realized that he possessed a rare talent for breathing new life into haggard electronics. After working as an engineer and technician in Boston at Notable Productions, he made a move to Nashville in 2018 in sight of expanding his already thriving career. His role at The Carriage Works saw him take on the almost superhuman task of restoring our 1974 MCI JH-528 console as well as our amplifiers and other miscellaneous equipment. When he’s not maintaining our in-house equipment he builds custom pieces, and works with client equipment – tackling anything from tune-ups to full ground up restorations.
